Kleber has been a professional dancer and actor since 1990 he was trained at one of the most famous performance schools in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – The Jaime Aroxa Dance Centre – Dance, and O Tablado – Actor. Jaime Aroxa school in Rio de Janeiro – which is famous for having produced some of the most talented dancers in Brazil and the world.
After completing his training, He continued to work and appeared in many big theatre shows such as O Sitio do Pica-Pau-Amarelo, Grease -The Musical, Lissistrata a Greve do Sexo, A Opera do Malandro – the musical, and La Boutique Fantastic. He also appeared in film and television programs including Globo TV, Radical Chic, and Faustao.
He taught in Brazil for many years, highlights include the II International Brazilian Ballroom Dance Festival (1997), Berg International congress in Port Seguro Brazil, Rio Dance congress ( Renata Pecanha), and more recently here in London at London Samba congress, the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th London Dance Congresses from 2007, he was invited to be part of the choreography team who delivered the Flag Handover to Rio2016 as part of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Zoukfest 2013 and 2014 in London ,Notting Hill Carnival – Comissao de Frente part of Paraiso School of Samba (2013 and 2014), Thames Festival, International Zouk Flashmob London ( 2012-and 2013), the Brazilian Social Dance Team was part of The More London Free Festival of Arts in June 2013.
He continues to teach and perform extensively in UK and can currently be seen on Canal Londres TV presenting the show Dicas giving tips for travellers in London. He is part of the regular teaching team at Danceworks studios in London, running weekly classes, courses and workshops in Brazilian Zouk Lambada and Samba de Gafieira (partner Samba dance from Rio) as well as running the biggest Brazilian night for social dancing in London, every Saturday in Holborn. He manages a team of teachers, performers and student performance groups that make up the Brazilian Social Dance team.
As a teacher, he offers all of his skill and experience in the technical aspects of Brazilian dance, in a friendly, approachable, fun class environment. He is able to show and explain the steps clearly, while giving positive, constructive feed back to his students. He aims to help his students feel comfortable using their bodies, to be confident with themselves, to understand the rhythms of Brazilian music and dance in harmony with their partners. He believes everyone can learn these dance styles and enjoy Brazilian Social Dance.
